Wessington Parish Council would like to inform residents that memorial safety testing has recently been carried out in the burial ground, in line with guidelines which recommend this is undertaken every five years. As a result of this testing, some remedial works have been identified and the Parish Council has appointed a contractor to carry out the necessary works over the coming weeks. You may notice that some headstones have been temporarily laid down; this is a precautionary measure to ensure safety until the works are completed. In addition, the burial ground path will be fully resurfaced over the next few weeks, as it has developed cracks over time.
